Claiming space, creating change

We want to hear from you

Whether you need support navigating a system that was not built for you, want to connect with the movement, or are a journalist covering migrant justice, reach out. You belong here.

For migrants

You don’t have to navigate this alone

If you are dealing with an immigration issue, a workplace problem, a housing situation, a healthcare barrier, or anything else the system has put in your way, we want to hear from you. MAC exists because we believe migrants deserve solidarity, not charity. You are not a case file. You are part of this community.

We are not immigration lawyers and cannot give legal advice, but we can help you understand your rights, connect you with resources, and figure out next steps together. That is what mutual aid looks like in practice.

A commitment we take seriously: We will never share your information with immigration authorities, employers, or government agencies. We collect only what we need to help you. Reach out in whatever way feels safest.

Email us

Write to [email protected]. You can use your own email, a temporary address, or ask someone you trust to send on your behalf. Say as much or as little as you are comfortable with.

Use the form below

The contact form at the bottom of this page does not require your name. Describe your situation in whatever way feels right. We will respond.

Find us in person

We table at community events across St. John’s. Check our (we are still building that page, but in the meantime we encourage you to join our mailing list) to find where we will be next. A conversation over a table is always an option.

Reach us through someone you trust

A friend, coworker, or community member can contact MAC on your behalf. You do not have to be the one to make first contact if that does not feel safe.

Everyone else

Journalists, organizations, and allies

Solidarity takes many forms. If you are a journalist covering migrant justice, a researcher studying migration and labour, an organization interested in partnership, or simply someone who wants to connect with the movement, we are open to that conversation.

We believe in building power across communities. We are happy to speak with media, participate in research that advances migrant rights, and collaborate with organizations whose values align with ours. We are also direct about where we disagree, and we do not do symbolic partnerships.

Our organizers wear a lot of hats. We will respond as quickly as we can, usually within a few business days. Media requests with tight deadlines: please say so in your message and include your deadline.

Media inquiries

Email [email protected] with “Media” in the subject line. Tell us what you are working on, your outlet, and your deadline. We prioritize coverage that amplifies migrant voices rather than speaking over them.

Partnership & collaboration

Tell us who you are, what you are proposing, and how you think it advances migrant justice. Use the form below or email us directly. We are most interested in work rooted in solidarity and collective power.

Send us a message

Name and contact details are optional. Tell us as much or as little as you are comfortable sharing. We read every message.
