We went #AllOutLike99

The Migrant Action Centre marched alongside many others calling for student rights in CFS-NL's #AllOutLike99

November 10, 2022

On November 2, 2022, the Migrant Action Centre joined the Canadian Federation of Students – Newfoundland and Labrador, and its membership, at the Memorial University’s St. John’s campus as we marched down Prince Philip Drive to the Confederation Building calling for free and accessible post secondary education, and an end to differential fees.

With a massive increase in tuition, the removal of tuition freeze, and the increasing cost of living, students are suffering now more than ever. We believe that tuition fees are exploitative, and the differential fees that migrant students are made to pay further add to the precarity and exploitation that migrants already face.

We support the call for the elimination of all tuition for everyone irrespective of status in Canada, and for an immediate end to differential fees.
