Your Stories Matter: Uniting for Migrant Justice and Permanent Status for All in Canada

As we come together in our shared struggle for justice, equality, and dignity, the Migrant Action Centre (MAC) invites you, dear migrants, to step forward and let your voices be heard. We believe that your stories, your resilience, and your courage can help fuel a powerful movement for change. We stand firmly organizing for migrant rights and social justice, and we are determined to agitate, educate, and organize for a brighter future for all.

Newfoundland and Labrador, as well as the rest of Canada, have long been home to migrants who have faced countless challenges, from the labyrinthine immigration system to the harsh realities of racism and xenophobia. By shedding light on these systemic injustices, we can build a united front that demands full and permanent immigration status for all, regardless of their origins, language, or religion.

We are calling upon you to share your stories, your tears, and your triumphs. Your narratives will not only serve as the foundation of our movement but will also inspire others to join us in the fight for migrant justice. Together, we will hold our politicians accountable and take direct action against the systems that have sought to silence and marginalize us for far too long.

Your experiences – the sleepless nights spent worrying about deportation, the painful sacrifices made to provide for your loved ones, and the constant battle against prejudice – are the very essence of our collective struggle. By giving voice to these stories, we aim to create a groundswell of empathy, understanding, and solidarity that will resonate across the nation.

Through this initiative, we hope to remind the world that migrants are not just statistics or pawns in political games. We are human beings with dreams, aspirations, and an unyielding desire to contribute to our adopted communities. By organizing for full and permanent immigration status for all, we are demanding that migrants be treated with the respect and dignity they deserve.

We ask you to be courageous, to dig deep, and to share your stories with us. Together, we will weave a tapestry of resilience, hope, and justice that will serve as a beacon for generations to come.

To participate, please submit your stories by filling out the form below or by emailing us at contact@migrantaction.ca. In doing so, you will become part of a powerful and growing chorus demanding change, accountability, and a brighter future for all migrants in Canada.

Remember, your stories matter. Your struggles are our struggles, and your victories will be our victories. As we join together in this pursuit of social justice, let us not forget the words of the great activist and writer, Audre Lorde: "Your silence will not protect you." Let us break the silence and stand united in our quest for migrant justice and full, permanent immigration status for all.

In solidarity,

The Migrant Action Centre (MAC)
